Back To Life

Wow, it's been almost a whole year since I have updated! What a shame. I've been feeling a bit stressed lately, and I recalled how blogging helped me relieve stress in the past, so I've returned!

So much has changed since last year. How about a quick overview for my first post back?

• Moved to Rochester, New York with my boyfriend. That's where his family lives
• Enjoyed our time there, but found that Hawai'i was calling us back.
• Moved back to Oahu after 7 months. 
• Started working for Starbucks again.
• Moved into Waikiki.
• Started going back to college. (hatin it)
• Re-gained my position as a Starbucks Supervisor.
• Obtained our first "official" studio together! We've always rented rooms out of houses. 

It's been an interesting and adventurous 12 months! I feel like I've been working non-stop since I moved to New York and back. But my work is finally starting to show. Soon I will be able to take a break!

Strangers into Friends

Ah! I haven't been blogging too much the past two weeks. I'm very busy filling out scholarships, putting together a tattoo portfolio, getting rid of stuff, packing for my move, etc! Last Saturday I participated in this HUGE "yard sale" with my mom. It was basically a bunch of military families in one spot selling their used stuff. Kind of like a swap meet. But we made $150 ($100 of which was from my stuff!). I had so much stuff it's not even funny, but I left with virtually nothing!! 

While I love drawing for my tattoo portfolio, sometimes I just want to say "fuck it" to proportions and whatnot, so I draw these silly little caricatures of people that I enjoy!

I drew this one of Helaine. She's so beautiful and down to earth. And I adore her fashion sense.

She's so cute!

During work, I received this dollar as a tip. Some guy had written his name and number on it, along with a message "let's be friends"! It wasn't the person who gave me the dollar who wrote it. So I texted the number! Turns out, he's from Guam, he's in the army, and he seems nice. Horray for talking to strangers. :]

And ending this post with a picture of me! I am applying to local modeling agencies in hopes I can break into that industry. I used to do modeling in 8th grade, but my look has drastically changed since then. Wish me luck! (My tattoos may be a turn off for them :p)

Art Life for Me

I've been extremely inspired since I returned from New York.

It's very refreshing!

Christmas 2011

Hi you guys! 

How did everyones Christmas go? Or if you don't celebrate Christmas how did your nonholiday/other holiday go? 

Mine went greattt! 

It started on the 22nd, where we had dinner and gift opening with my family since Philip and I were leaving for New York on the 23rd to go see his family! 

Carrying presents for his family. He's so excited. :3

So many presents! That wasn't even all of them.

We had fun. It was my first time meeting his family and they were all great and accepted me in like I'd been there the whole time. 

We opened presents, cooked, ate tons, watched movies, played video games, ate more, etc!

They got me Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2, a real diamond necklace, a plane ticket to/from New York, and some clothes. 

So great! 

My mom got me a plane ticket to/from Florida (from when I went back in November) and some money.

From others I received a wallet, clothes, food, money, and COFFEE!! 

I was very blessed this year. 

So lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!

OH, anddd my old as hell phone (it is literally about 10 years old) finally gave out so one of Philip's bro's gave me his old 1st generation iphone.
