Book Review: Red Riding Hood - Good Girls Don't Talk To Werewolves

TITLE: Red Riding Hood: Good girls Don’t Talk to Werewolves
AUTHOR: Cathrine Hardwicke
RATING: 4 of 5 stars.
My expectations for this book were far exceeded. I went into reading it, with the movie in mind. The overall theme and idea was great, but the movie was terrible. However, as I delved into the book, I couldn’t put it down. Not that it had me on edge…I’d already seen the movie. It was just very interesting and the author has a great way of flowing her words.
The characters were strong and well thought out. The plot was a fun twist on a classic fairy tale. With Red Riding Hood being one of my favorites, I expect anyone who renders it to do a damn good job. Hardwicke did great! Just the right amount of romance, suspense, and excitement.
There is one thing I’m still on edge and confused about. The movie ended COMPLETELY differently. However, there is supposedly a “hidden chapter” on the website. When I went to read it, the website wouldn’t allow me to access that chapter. I’m guessing that the “hidden chapter” explains the alternating endings.
Other than that, I would highly recommend this book! Almost felt like an edgy, dark, Disney movie…book?
Read it. You won’t regreeeeettt it!
